
Mr. Gerardo Barrios has been living and conducting business in The Bahamas since 2004.
Accomplished senior executive with extensive experience gained in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe over a 30-year period capable of developing highly motivated management teams in start-up projects through successful planning, launch, and operation; focused on achieving financial goals while exceeding customer, associate, and shareholder expectations in single, multi-unit, and multi-disciplinary management scenarios.
Respected leader with demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business and financial strategies. created and executed key initiatives that have improved service delivery, enhanced overall performance, and increased profitability.
He was Chief Operating Officer and owner’s representative leading one of the largest Canadian investments in The Bahamas responsible for over 200 million dollars of assets in New Providence.
Mr. Barrios also has led the successful entrance of Fortune 500 infrastructure companies in Latin America responsible for the development of the strategy and its execution.
Previously, he was an executive management lecturer at Ryerson University and George Brown College in Toronto, Canada. He has provided expert guidance for educational projects, support, and advice to educational institutions. Has offered expertise in the areas of curriculum development, instructional design, organizational management, and policy implementation.
He holds a Business Administration degree and post grad certifications in Strategic Planning & Executive Leadership from Queen’s University in Canada, Executive Management Skills for Senior Managers from York University in Canada, and Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University in USA
